How to use EmojiBase
EmojiBase is built for quick lookups. This guide covers the fastest way to find an emoji and move it into a document, a design or a codebase.
Search first
Use the search field at the top of any page. Type a name such as "grinning face", a keyword such as "happy", or paste an emoji directly. A single emoji opens its detail page straight away.
Browse when you are not sure
The home page lists every Unicode category. Open a category to see its subcategories and all matching emoji. Category pages include a few sample emoji so you can recognise the group at a glance.
Use the emoji page
Each entry includes the name, alternative names, description, keywords, skin tones, platform artwork, Unicode code points and the Emoji version. The Copy and paste section gives you ready-to-use formats for HTML, CSS, JavaScript and shortcodes.
Move beyond the character
Use the download button for a PNG or SVG, the save button for a local favorite, and the share button for a link. On a phone, a copy and save bar appears after you scroll past the main buttons.
Switch language
The globe button in the header switches between the 26 interface languages. Emoji names and keywords are translated where data is available. The legal pages and the guides are kept in English.
